About this stone
Rip rap is the quarry's working stone: dense Flint Hills limestone in random or sized pieces for shorelines, ditches, culvert outlets, pond dams and slope stabilization. Because it is the same 12,820 PSI stone as our wall block, it does not slake or break down in freeze-thaw.
Sized rip rap is hand-picked to roughly one foot cubes for a uniform look and easier placement; non-sized is random and costs less. Both ship by the truckload.
Best uses
- Pond and lake shorelines
- Ditch and culvert protection
- Dam faces and spillways
- Slope stabilization
