Delivery and freight, explained.

We ship limestone to every state in the lower 48 and to Canada. Here is exactly how a load works so there are no surprises on delivery day.

The truck

A standard load is about 24 tons on a flatbed or step-deck trailer. We book the truck, price the freight to your zip code in the estimate, and the driver calls ahead before arriving. You get about 1.5 hours of unload time included; longer unloads can run detention.

Unloading

Stone comes off the truck one block at a time. A skid steer with forks or an excavator with a thumb handles it; a telehandler works too. No loading dock is needed — the truck can unload on any firm, level ground it can reach. Blocks weigh 800–2,000 lb; slabs and steps are listed by weight on the load sheet.

Where we ship from

Natural wall stone, slabs and rip rap load at the quarry in Wamego, Kansas. Milled and sawn stone loads at our processing yard near Kansas City (Platte City, MO). Pick-up is welcome at either location with your own truck — call first so the load is staged.

Lead times

Natural stone is usually loaded within a few days of your order. Milled and sawn-end stone is processed to order at the yard and typically ships in one to two weeks depending on the queue. Rush jobs: call us and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.

What you'll receive

  • An estimate with stone, tonnage and freight to your zip, all-in
  • A scale ticket for every load — you pay for the tons on the ticket
  • A portal login to track each load from our gate to your site
  • A driver call ahead of arrival

Small orders

Less than a truckload? Steps, a few slabs or a partial load can ride a shared truck or be picked up at the quarry or yard. Ask and we'll find the cheapest way to get it to you.
