Why quarry direct

When you buy from the quarry, everything gets simpler.

Most stone changes hands three times before it reaches your job. Ours changes hands once — from our loader to your trailer. That's how the price stays honest and the answers come from people who actually cut the rock.

We own the ledge

Quarried in Wamego, Kansas and milled at our own yard — never blasted, always extracted mechanically. If a stone isn't right, it never leaves.

20+ years on the iron

Our operators have decades on the machines. Consistent bed depths, square faces, and loads that stack the way the picture promised.

Freight is our problem, not yours

We price delivery to your zip up front and dispatch trucks nationwide every week. One call covers stone and shipping.

Track every load online

Your own customer portal shows each load from our quarry gate to your driveway — status, tonnage and delivery scheduling in one place.

No blasting

Why our limestone stays solid.

A lot of quarries use explosives to break rock loose. Blasting sends shockwaves through the whole ledge and leaves microfractures hidden inside the stone. You can't see them on delivery day, but water finds them, freezes, and pries the stone apart winter after winter.

We extract every block mechanically instead — no shockwaves, no microfractures — which is exactly why our limestone tests at 12,820 PSI with only 0.3% absorption.

Questions

Straight answers.

How much stone comes on a truck?

A standard load is about 24 tons on a flatbed or step-deck. We arrange the freight, the driver calls ahead, and you get about 1.5 hours of unload time. Individual blocks run roughly 800–2,000 lbs.

What equipment do I need to unload?

A skid steer with forks or an excavator with a thumb handles it. No dock needed — our stone unloads on any firm, level ground. Not sure your machine is enough? Call us with the model and we'll tell you straight.

How far do you deliver?

Anywhere in the lower 48 and Canada. We quote freight to your zip code up front, so the delivered price is the real price — no surprises when the truck shows up.

How strong is your limestone?

Independently lab tested: 12,820 PSI average compressive strength and just 0.3% absorption. That's dense, hard Flint Hills limestone that shrugs off freeze-thaw — not soft quarry cast-offs.

How much wall does a ton build?

For 14" ledge stone, about 7 square feet of wall face per ton (6.5 for Builders Grade). A 24-ton load builds roughly 170 square feet of face — for example a wall 3 feet tall and 55 feet long. We do the tonnage math with you.
